Topics getting the most attention in St. Helena public meetings, ranked by how frequently they come up.
Wildfire Infrastructure Damage
The Glass Fire destroyed three of St. Helena’s water tanks, which is a big deal because those tanks support both firefighting and everyday water service. As the city rebuilds, replacing them is key to keeping homes and businesses supplied and protected.
Wildfire Emergency
The Glass Fire blew up overnight and has destroyed 80 homes across Napa and Sonoma counties, including areas near St. Helena. If you’re local, treat this as serious: check evacuation orders now and stay ready to leave.
Public Safety Staffing
St. Helena has a new school resource officer—a dedicated cop assigned to work with local schools. It’s a staffing move aimed at campus safety, so students, staff, and families will see a more direct police presence in schools.
